Responsibilities:
As Assistant Manager, you’ll support daily operations and help ensure a smooth, consistent experience for both guests and staff.

- Support daily cafe operations and lead service on shift when needed
- Assist Shift Leads and team members with real-time problem solving during service
- Maintain operational standards including cleanliness, organization, and overall readiness
- Assist with hiring, training, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
- Manage ordering and inventory for all cafe supplies, including food, beverages, ingredients, and operational materials
- Support inventory tracking and basic maintenance needs
- Assist with execution of events and in-store promotions
- Assist with menu updates and product coordination
- Communicate with management on service flow, team performance, and operational needs
Qualifications:
We’re looking for someone confident in a hands-on leadership support role who can help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

- Experience in a supervisory, shift lead, or similar leadership role (food service or retail preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of modern board games, with confidence learning, teaching, and recommending games to guests
- Comfortable supporting or leading a busy service floor in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills with a calm, solutions-focused approach
- Ability to coach, support, and communicate clearly with team members
- Reliable, organized, and able to follow through on operational tasks
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and peak business hours
- Interest in hospitality operations and team development

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent (typically 30–40 hours per week)
Compensation: Starting at $17/hour, plus tips
