About the Role

Hexagon Board Game Cafe is looking for a creative, self-motivated Social Media & Brand Coordinator to take the lead on our digital storytelling. You’ll help shape how our community connects with us online — from writing captions and planning campaigns to keeping our Shopify homepage and Linktree links up to date.

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, marketing know-how, and a love of all things board games. You’ll work behind the scenes (and sometimes on-site) to keep our social channels active, our content fresh, and our presence growing across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

We’re currently offering this position as a contract role for an initial 3 months, with the clear intention to bring the right person on board long-term. If we like what we see — and you enjoy working with us — we’ll make it official.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Write captions that capture Hexagon’s fun, welcoming tone and brand voice
  • Film and edit Reels and TikToks, including capturing live event moments
  • Engage actively with our online community by responding to comments and messages and interacting with related accounts
  • Maintain and update Linktree links to ensure alignment with current promotions and posts
  • Suggest and assist with planning targeted Instagram and Facebook ads to boost awareness and event ticket sales
  • Keep our Shopify homepage updated with new products, seasonal promotions, and fresh content
  • Update and maintain our WordPress website, including seasonal/quarterly updates to the events page, menu, and other key sections
  • Assist with creating digital and print posters and flyers for in-cafe and online marketing campaigns
  • Help plan and launch a new email newsletter featuring upcoming events, new board games added to our library, and product announcements
What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Genuine passion for board games and cafe culture
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage your time effectively
  • Ability to work independently and deliver content on schedule
  • Comfortable filming social media videos such as Reels and TikToks; occasional on-camera appearances may be required

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience managing brand or creator social media accounts
  • Familiarity with Planoly or similar social media scheduling tools
  • Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager for running paid social campaigns
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS platforms for website updates
